My story

Conceived in the Caymans, born in deepest Essex. I went on to study Oriental Studies at Cambridge University, the same degree as James Bond.

The mentors who shaped me include Mike Wooldridge, the BBC South Asia correspondent, who treated me as an equal even as a cross eyed teenage intern. Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French taught me to find the funny in the gaps.

I love books very, very much. They ground me. My comfort blankets are Joan Didion, Alice Walker, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Laura Ingalls Wilder. I love writing too. My memoir The Undoing, a story about identity, family, and finding your way back to yourself, will be published by Penguin Random House, Doubleday in February 2028.

Most people know me from my Moth Mainstage storytelling performance, which went viral, reaching over two million views across combined media platforms.

Since then, I've appeared on many podcasts beyond co-hosting Women Are Mad, all closely tied to my real passion: supporting female entrepreneurs and small business founders, corporate leaders, and women navigating motherhood transitions, as an accredited relational dynamics coach.
